This New York Times op-ed by a Wharton psychologist is a reminder of something that should be obvious to everyone by now: your college grade point average doesn't mean anything to your ultimate success or failure. People who live and die by their grades need to get some perspective: Your life won't end if you get a B. A low GPA doesn't mean you won't be a success. A high GPA doesn't predict success. Parents who drive their kids into the ground insisting they study and study until they get nothing but As are deluded. Eventually, nobody's gonna care if you got a 4.0 in college, or aced the SATs. (Though your first year of college will be filled with "what did you get on your SATs?" That's a given.) (New York Times)
