It's The Headsets. Nobody Wants To Wear The Headsets

Something I've been saying for years is finally hitting home for the tech industry: Investors are pulling their money out of virtual reality ventures because the mass audience just doesn't really want VR, period. You still see it at CES and in those NBA commercials with people wearing headsets watching games "as if you're in the front row," but people are NOT rushing out to buy expensive Oculus headsets for hundreds of dollars. They even LOOK uncomfortable, and if you're a gamer, you really don't need that, either. It's just not the entertainment experience people want. But a lot of money was invested thinking that they did. (Los Angeles Times)
