Those adhering to a paleo diet might want to know that Neanderthals ate a lot of rabbit. That's also good to know in that it indicates Neanderthals had a more diverse diet than previously believed, which raises more questions, because it was assumed that a narrow diet led to the end of the Neanderthals while a more diverse diet helped later generations survive, and if that's not true, they're back to square one in trying to determine why the Neanderthals died out and later generations were able to sustain and grow. But, rabbit. Ew. (CBC)
