The Kids Are All Not Quite Right
-
Twenty seven students are at least temporarily "emergency expelled" from school after being involved in a near-riot at an 8th-grade basketball tournament game in Vancouver, Washington, and it all started when one student "confronted" another and was asked to leave, whereupon up to 70 other students got involved, cursed at deputies, and used racial slurs. What's interesting is that... well, think back to when you were that age, middle school. Would you, if a fight broke out, resist cops? Would you riot? Or would you do what I would have done, gotten the hell out of there as quickly as I could, or just hide someplace until things calmed down? Are kids today more fearless than we were?
