Once again, in case you've missed all the stories about people like this Canadian woman who got barred from a flight to Portugal to see her dying mother despite having a perfectly valid passport because the passport was set to expire within three months, that's a general rule for international travel to the EU, from the U.S, Canada, or anywhere else. Your passport expiration date has to be further out than three months after your expected return date. Do not show up to the airport with a passport with an expiration date closer than that and expect to board a flight. That's your public service announcement for today. (CTV News)
