A Different Way Of Paying The Athletes
-
In Newburgh, New York, nobody's going to be charged with anything despite an investigation that showed high school athletes skip class but are credited with passing grades anyway, and you KNOW this happens practically everywhere: the jocks get to skip class and slack off and face no penalties for it, because sports. And officials look the other way because they can. Does that unequal treatment bother you? No, wait, if you aren't or weren't a high school jock, of course it would bother you. Maybe the question should be posed of once and current high school athletes: Do you think you got the benefit of unequal treatment? (WABC-TV/New York)
