Wait, How About The Original 'Harlem Shuffle'? That's An Intro For Ya

Here you go: The BBC's list of the best pop song intros ever. "Stairway to Heaven" and "Baba O'Riley" are here, as well as "Hotel California" (Sorry, The Dude) and "West End Girls." "Where the Streets Have No Name" gets a shout, as does the Stone Roses' "I Wanna Be Adored" (though I'd go for their "Fool's Gold" instead). "Theme from 'Shaft'"? Yes, indeed. "Papa Was a Rolling Stone"? All almost 4 minutes of it, and I'd add another long, long intro, Death Cab for Cutie's "I Will Possess Your Heart" (the album version, which swirls and layers on top of a bass line so simple anyone could play it). Anyway, add to the list. (BBC)
