Well, this is kinda useless: The article purports to tell you whether chewing gum can help you lose weight, but the answer is: maybe. Maybe not. Gee, thanks. The idea is that gum might help you avoid snacking or craving dessert, which would in turn help you lose weight, but there's no scientific evidence for that -- studies on that are conflicting -- and they also say that if you don't already chew gum, it's not something you need to start; you could get the same effect from a coffee or tea with a little sweetener or a little square of chocolate. Good thing; I can't chew gum (I prefer to retain my teeth). (CNN)
