Here's a columnist complaining about something I bet you've encountered, too: when restaurants (and, really, any retail establishment or hotel or any place) hide their bathrooms so that you need to follow a maze to get there. You know the feeling: You ask where the restrooms are, you get sent to the back, and then it's a trek down halls, up stairs, around corners, and maybe eventually you find the bathroom. It's especially a problem, as the columnist writes, when new establishments open in very old buildings where the bathrooms weren't placed in a convenient spot. Shouldn't that be a priority for business, making bathrooms more convenient for customers? (New York Post)
