Until We All Get Jetpacks, It'll Have To Do

You at JFK airport: firing up Uber app, calling for a car, paying for a slog on the Van Wyck and L.I.E. into Manhattan. The elite, top members of Uber Rewards: firing up Uber app, calling for a helicopter, $200 and up, eight minutes. It's actually a test for future air-based services, Uber Elevate. If you're like me, the allure of eight minutes is trumped by both the cost and that I have promised myself to never ride in a helicopter. I'd rather take a car and brave the traffic, or drag my bags onto the E Train at Jamaica. (WNBC-TV/New York)
