Great, You Know You're Burned Out. Now, How Does That Help Pay The Rent?

You'll recall a few weeks ago when the World Health Organization sort of classified "burnout" as a medical condition, then didn't, then punted. But that raised a question, addressed in this BBC article, about how you know if you're burned out. The experts call the run-up to full-blown burnout "pre-burnout" and say it's a lot like depression: drinking, sugar binges, feeling tired. Also cynicism (oh, sure, right), and the feeling that the quality of your work is slipping. Um... uh oh. (BBC)
