I Don't Get Enough Sleep To Get That Spot In An MLB Rotation, I Guess. I'm OK With That

You know how athletes have their own theories about health and fitness. You've read all about Tom Brady's weird diet and routine. But here's one that might make more sense: Justin Verlander insists that the secret is to get 10 hours of sleep every night. Alex Bregman said that after Verlander told him to go from 6 hours of sleep to 10, he busted out of a slump and his power increased. Verlander also eats anything he wants as long as it isn't processed, and sticks to the elliptical or a stationary bike rather than running for his cardio to limit impact on his knees. And he's married to Kate Upton, so there's that. Can you even imagine carving out 10 hours to sleep? (New York Times)
