Gotta Be Well-Rested To Ignore The Teacher
-
The long-running debate over high school starting times has resulted in New Jersey's new law testing, at five schools, a later start time, 8:30 am, to let kids sleep in. You know, I've always thought that school days were too long anyway. Start at 9, end at 2, 45 minute classes. Or do some classes online and let the kids do 'em at home. Really, who decided that we needed to start school at, like 7 am and keep the kids in class for so long? More time in class isn't necessarily going to make them learn more. (NJ Advance Media/NJ.com)
