Either Way, Nobody's Telling You To Drive Around The Gates

Problem: Navigation systems and web-based maps don't really warn drivers about railroad crossings. Bigger problem: Google, which owns Waze, and Apple don't seem to be in any rush to deal with it, despite train systems and cities practically pleading with them and trying some extreme measures --- like re-uploading all the information daily from scratch in a process that takes hours -- to address the issue and provide warnings. The result: People still try to cross and get killed by passing trains. This shouldn't be happening. (Philadelphia Inquirer)
