You know how younger generations are more into YouTube videos and celebrities than they are into traditional Hollywood TV and movies. This means that the tendency of a lot of YouTube videos to really be infomercials is a little concerning, if you assume that the audience doesn't realize that the blatant product touting and incessant merch selling is advertising and not normal content. The creators say that it's the only way to monetize that doesn't hand over a large percentage to Google. Does it bother you? Should it be clearly labeled? (Washington Post)
