Ma'am, This Is A 10 Homilies Or Less Line
-
The reason given for an Ingles supermarket clerk being told to stop praying for customers, prompting a protest that drew hundreds of people, is that a customer complained, but not about mixing religion and groceries. No, it was because it slowed down the line. And you can see how that would happen. Personally, while I'd be annoyed if I was waiting to check out and the clerk was taking a long time praying for the customer in front of me, I don't really mind if someone wants to pray, even for little ol' non-religious me. Couldn't hurt. And it can't be slower than when someone busts out a checkbook. (WSB-TV/Atlanta)
