Some towns in Italy are practically abandoned. Many are offering incentives to get people to move there. The Molise area of the country is so emptied out that they're offering newcomers €700 per month for three years (a little more than $770) to move there. The catch? You have to open a business, too. Some towns are opening their doors to refugees, which, if you know what's happening with Italian politics and nationalism, is pretty astonishing, and some are selling off abandoned houses for €1. Would you take any of those deals? Because Italy IS nice.... (The Guardian)
