Get Out Some More Folding Chairs, We'll Need 'Em
-
Every year, we get stories about colleges accidentally sending out acceptance letters to students who weren't accepted. This year, it's Sacramento State, which accidentally sent acceptance emails to 3,500 students on its waitlist. But here's the twist: Instead of following up with "sorry, we made a mistake," they're going to actually accept all of the students. Turns out that they normally accept most of the students on the list each year, and the difference here will be about 500 extra students, which they say they can handle. This is not how these stories usually turn out. (Sacramento Bee)
