I Don't Care Where It Comes From, As Long As It's Good And Cheap
-
I think we may have talked about this before, but as traditional restaurants are pushed out of business by rising rents and changing public behavior, some restaurants are surviving and maybe even thriving as "ghost restaurants," meaning that there IS no restaurant but there's a shared kitchen that has a menu and cooks dishes purely for delivery. You go to your app, you order, and you get your food, but there's no physical restaurant, just a central kitchen. That saves the "restaurants" rent. They won't totally replace restaurants, but they'll likely become more prevalent. Does it bother you if you're ordering from a place that isn't a real restaurant? Does it make a difference?
