Millennial Watch: This article has gotten a lot of attention this week, about how surveys are showing that millennials are not going to church. Organized religion is not attracting young people in the numbers it used to do, and you can speculate as to why, or consider whether you still go. But don't make the mistake of assuming that millennials are less spiritual; it's more about the organized aspects of religion and the time devoted to it than anything else. And you can talk about whether this might endanger the community service churches do, if there are fewer members, lower donation totals, and fewer volunteers. (Washington Post)
