Some newer luxury cars -- Teslas, for one example -- don't have front license plate mounts, because they "ruin the look" of the front grille. You can get adhesive mounts, but a lot of drivers don't. In 31 states, front license plates are required. The cops like them because they don't have to walk around the car to get the plate number when they're writing you up, and radar is aimed at them sometimes. Are front license plates really necessary?
