Some Las Vegas strip restaurants are tacking on a 4-5% "concession fee" to the bill and in the fine print on the menu. It looks like a tax or city fee. It isn't. It's just the restaurants charging extra just because they can. If you complain, they'll take it off the bill, because it's totally not mandatory. But who even looks? Would you go back to a restaurant that put a fake fee on the bill just to take more money from you and rip off tourists who don't know that they don't have to pay? Why not just raise prices a little on everything? (Los Angeles Times)
