Martin Scorsese's latest provocation is to tell people not to watch "The Irishman" on a phone, so, naturally, people are not only watching on phones but posting pictures of themselves doing so on social media. On the one hand, it's understandable that he would be upset, because he's made a long career making movies that he wants people to watch in optimum conditions, on a big screen in a theater. On the other hand, it's 2019, and there's something to be said for adapting to technology and how people consume your work. Besides, all of his movies have made it to video and TV, and this one was MADE for a streaming service, so he HAS to understand that when he took the money from Netflix, the picture was going to be seen on all devices, not just the ones he'd prefer you use.
