I Can Barely Remember My Own High School's Name, TBH
-
People don't always realize how much their actions tell about themselves, and so the alumni who are suing their Virginia high school for removing Robert E. Lee from the school name are showing that, well, let's not put too fine a point on it, okay? You know what this means. And "heritage" is not the correct answer. I know I'll hear from proud (and white) Southerners about how it doesn't stand for slavery, but it does. Ask black people how "Confederate pride" makes them feel. (WRC-TV/Washington)
