Everything Else Might Be Unrealistic, But At Least The Accents Are On Point
-
This one's from a few weeks ago, a BBC story on the authenticity of accents in film and TV, and I guess the topic here is whether an actor's accent is something that bothers you. It won't likely matter if the accent isn't yours, but if you're British and an American attempts your accent and fails, you'll notice, right? If you're from New York or Chicago or Philadelphia or anyplace else with a distinct local accent that an actor is poorly adopting, it'll take you out of the movie, won't it? Or are you more forgiving than that? (BBC)
