A Little Song, A Little Dance, A Little Seltzer Down Your Pants
-
Dead: Eli Miller, at 86. What did he do to merit a New York Times obituary? Simple: He was one of the very last of New York's seltzer men, delivering cases of old-fashioned, classic glass-bottle seltzer from 1960 through 2017. When I was a kid, seltzer delivery was a given; we got cases of those bottles with the metal nozzles every couple of weeks. It's gone from most places, though Eli sold his business to a twenty-something who's keeping the practice alive. (New York Times)
