Maybe That Was It, Maybe Not. Stay Home Anyway

I'm wondering how responsible it is to run stories like this one about a 31-year-old, seemingly healthy guy who got COVID-19 and says that he thinks it was one trip to the grocery that caused it. He doesn't know that. And they don't tell you if he wore a mask, if he washed his hands, if he socially distanced himself. It might have been the trip to the store, but it might have been something else, or some specific mistake or accident or something that he doesn't remember. Anecdotes aren't proof, so beware of drawing conclusions from stuff like this. But also, be careful if you do have to go to the store. (KNBC-TV/Los Angeles)
