An L.A. TV news investigation found coronavirus on shopping carts, men's room doors, and ATMs galore. That's the alarmist part. Only 11 of 75 surfaces had the virus. That's the optimistic part. Crosswalk buttons, gym equipment (!), and self-checkout screens were clean. That's even better. And there's no clear evidence how long the virus is actually alive on the surfaces, or whether coming into contact with them in that way will spread the disease. But now we're gonna be paranoid about shopping carts and door handles. How are you protecting yourself? (KNBC-TV/Los Angeles)
