Passing The Cost (And Some Of The Pain) Along To You
-
It's been tough for every business, and restaurants have famously been hammered in the pandemic, so when a restaurant tacks on a "COVID-19 tax," are you going to object? In this case, a Sarasota restaurant is doing it, and in a specific way: It's a $2 tax on proteins to pay for the increased wholesale cost of meat. It's not about cleaning or anything else, just covering their costs. They COULD just increase prices, though. (WWSB-TV/Sarasota)
