Wish You Were Where?

Oh, sure, you get emails from Nigerian princes offering you untold riches, but you don't get postcards from Timbuktu every day, unless someone's paid this guy to send one to you. And they're real: The business is to send people cheery postcards from the real (it is real) Timbuktu, and the idea is that you might want to have a card sent to someone to cheer them up while we all aren't traveling at all, let alone to exotic places. The side topic here is: Do people even send postcards anymore? I mean, I know they sell postcards at tourist spots, but do you SEND any? And how weird is it to send something where whatever you write is out in the open, readable by anyone? (Washington Post)
