This is probably obvious, but since the Wall Street Journal seems to think it's worth a major story, let's talk about how the pandemic may have permanently improved commuting, for the obvious reasons: More people working from home means less traffic for those still heading to a workplace. That's a good thing, right? For businesses catering to commuters, no, but for the rest of us, and the environment, yes, and it's what we've been saying here in this column for years, that telecommuting can help fix a LOT of problems.
