Hard To Give Up Those Subs, But You Gotta Do What You Gotta Do

Over the weekend, a controversy erupted after it was reported that an heir to the Publix grocery chain had financed, with the help of Alex Jones, the Trump Ellipse rally that led to the insurrection. That, in turn, led to boycott calls, while some noted that Publix is actually 80% employee-owned and the heir in question does not participate in the company's operations, although her money comes from being one of the seven children of the founders. There's also the problem of the deal they made with Gov. DeSantis to distribute vaccine in some Florida counties, and past contributions to GOP candidates. So, the topic is obviously whether a boycott is warranted, or whether boycotts work, period. (Miami Herald)
