If You Wouldn't Put Your Name To It, Don't Post It
-
Anonymity brings the troll out in people, and so we have a paramedic in trouble for posting insensitive Twitter comments, like saying "I would have shot his ass" in response to a story about police using stun guns and bean bags on a guy with a knife, and another you could take as a racial comment. Whether or not the posts were out of bounds, it's amazing how people don't seem to think that what they put on social media is going to be seen by anyone else. Yeah, it's easy to be a tough guy when you think you're anonymous, but if someone figures out who wrote those things, you can't whine when your employer decides they'd rather not be associated with you. Maybe Twitter users can't handle anonymity. (CTV)
