But Think Of All Those Hors d'Oeuvres, Going To Waste
-
A couple invited people to their wedding at their palatial estate in Florida. One small detail that they didn't iron out: Despite describing it as their "dream home and estate," they didn't own the house. And the cops had to come out and throw the groom and invitees off the property, though he wasn't arrested. The house IS for sale ($5.7 million), and the groom had come by and claimed to be interested in buying it, but he asked the owner to use the yard for his wedding and was told no. He apparently did not take "no" for an answer, and/or assumed that the house would be vacant and nobody would notice. Who would do that? (Fun Fact: The mansion, 16,313 square feet with 9 bedrooms, 15 bathrooms, a bowling alley, and a theater, is owned by an heir to a fortune earned by an early IHOP franchise. That's a lot of pancakes.) (South Florida Sun-Sentinel)
