Andrew Giuliani is running for Governor of New York, and I'll leave the reactions to THAT to you. But this isn't about your reaction to that. It's about the obligatory campaign stops candidates make at local places on the trail, the local institutions where the candidate eats the local delicacy to show how local they are. Andrew G. showed up at a place like that, Perreca's Bakery in Schenectady, and the only news made there is that the bakery's owners didn't want him there. They didn't know he was coming, don't want politicking in the place, and that's the main point of the story generated by the event. If you had a business like that, would you want to be a campaign stop? How about for a candidate you couldn't stand? (SIde note: I briefly found myself working in Schenectady. One of the few things I liked about it was stopping at Perreca's every day for a piece of their amazing tomato pie. Seriously worth a detour.) (Daily Gazette, Schenectady)
