Tell A Philosophy Major All About It
-
This Wall Street Journal article focuses on the graduates of elite graduate schools who earn master's degrees but build up astronomical student loan debt they'll never be able to pay back based on the salaries the jobs they can get with the degrees will pay. If they can't and default, guess who pays? You, the taxpayer, of course. But it's far from just these people with expensive degrees that don't pay enough to pay off six figure debts. It's every degree that doesn't lead to big money. And that raises the topic of whether college or grad school are still worth the expense in 2021 or whether you'd advise someone to just go directly into the job market. (Wall Street Journal)
