We know salt is bad for us. We pile it on anyway, and so much of the processed food you get in a supermarket or order at a restaurant are loaded with sodium. Cutting back even a little bit makes a huge difference in your health, lowering your blood pressure and making you feel better. So why do we put up with so much in our food? Okay, one reason is that without salt, food tastes bland. But there's no real reason for high sodium levels in lots of food, and you get used to less (or don't even notice it's gone).
