Mine Are Blue. I Don't Think That's Gonna Make Me Cool To Anyone
-
On the scale of important things in life, this might be waaaaaayyy at the bottom, but to teens, at least, it's real: there's a social pariah aspect to your texts showing up as green bubbles on iPhones. It means you don't have an iPhone. Android messages show up in green, Apple iMessages in blue. Now, it shouldn't matter what color it is now that most people have unlimited text plans, and speaking as an iPhone user, I couldn't care less whether someone's texts are coming from an iPhone or an Android phone, but there you go. Consider it another peek inside the minds of kids who care way too much about artificial standards of status. (Wall Street Journal)
