Pardon My Cynicsm

So the New York Post has this article about a restaurant where a couple of regular patrons occasionally come in and pick up the tabs of random customers. And that sounds cool and altruistic. But does anyone else sense a publicity stunt here? I mean, if the restaurant tells the world that random customers get a free meal, doesn't that mean people will flock there hoping to be the lucky recipients of the anonymous couple's largesse?
