'Doc, I...' 'Sounds Like You Need Pot. Here's A Prescription'
-
When my father was dying and in intense pain beyond anything any human being should have to endure, he could have used medical marijuana to help him just be able to exist while waiting to die. Unfortunately, all he could get in that regard under Florida law was THC in pill form, and it didn't help. (Neither did morphine, for that matter. It was awful) So I'm inclined to support the legalization of pot for medical purposes. But I've also seen what happens when you do that, like here in California, and it's happening again in Montana, where doctors are doing caravans arcoss the state to hand out pot "prescriptions" like candy to anyone who shows up. The average "appointment" for a "consultation" is six minutes, obviously not enough for a legitimate diagnosis. The people who really NEED it are getting crowded out by the people who just WANT it, and it's all a fraud. I'd rather they just dispensed with the sham of "medical" and just legalized it, period.
