Hard to feel sorry for the Bank of America, which had a bad quarter with $2.24 billion in losses due to bad loans. You would think they'd want to modify all of them to see if they could make those loans at least better, writing off some of the interest due and stretching the terms to reduce payments (and, therefore, the chance that the loan will go into default), but that would make too much sense.
