On The Other Hand, Don't Security Ops HAVE To Be Secret?
-
After 9/11, Homeland Security became a huge thing in the government. In nine years, it's included this: 1,271 government organizations and 1,931 private companies working on secret projects in 10,000 locations. 854,000 with top-secret security clearances. And practically no oversight. Basically, they're spending a massive amount of money -- nobody knows how much -- to do things nobody is keeping watch on. That's the gist of a special Washington Post report, and if it's accurate, we have a government run amok with your money right under everyone's noses, and nobody stopped it. (Washington Post)
