At Some Point, They'll Have To Bring The Surgery To You

The guy was 5'5" and 300 pounds, and he was strapped to a surgical table for routine surgery when the straps failed, he fell off, and he died. His family's suing, but it does raise the question of how far hospitals should be going to accommodate obese patients. Clearly, the three velcro straps they used weren't enough for a guy built like a cannonball, but how much should they be doing? Bolting the table down? Buckles? Locks? (Minneapolis Star-Tribune)
