The First Step Is To Recognize You Could Have Won A Lot Of Money
-
This guy registered with the government to voluntarily ban himself from Canadian casinos, seeing as how he recognized he's a problem gambler. That program means that he could be barred at the door, or, if he makes it in, he can be fined and his winnings refused. And so, he went to a British Columbia casino, won a C$42,500 jackpot, and now he wants his money. The provincial casino regulator says no way. He's suing. Hey, dude, you want to win money, you don't bar yourself, and it's hardly a reason to sue that they didn't stop you at the door and only called a foul when you won something. You know the deal. Stay out. (Vancouver Province via Montreal Gazette; Thanks to Jeff Katz at WXKS (Rush Radio 1200)/Vancouver for the link)
