OK, It's Unlocked. Now, What? T-Mobile?

The government finally makes it officially legal to unlock your IPhone and other phones. Not that this will mean a lot; you could always unlock the phone, if you wanted to take the risk, and nobody was ever prosecuted by Apple for doing that. And it makes sense when you consider that you bought the device and should have the right to do whatever you want with it. But this might result in something else: Higher costs for phones. If you can modify the phone and take it to another carrier, the carriers will be likely to lower their subsidies (meaning more expensive phones) and/or raise the early termination fee to make up for you being more likely to bolt early.
