Prosecutorial Russian Roulette
-
The stabbing murder of a Johns Hopkins researcher was planned by the two people arrested in the killing, cops say. Apparently, one of the suspects -- a married couple -- told the cops that they were hunting for someone to rob and went after a "white boy." But here's the part that rankles the most: Both suspects have extensive criminal records, and the husband had multiple conviction. In 2008, the husband was charged with choking his girlfriend, and prosecutors wanted to put him away for the maximum 25 years, but they settled for a plea deal with no jail time at all. They LET HIM GO. And that's why an innocent man is dead today. (WBAL-TV/Baltimore)
