Couple's Foreclosure Bargain... Wasn't
-
This couple thought they were getting a slick deal when they bought a foreclosure for half the market value. But they were outsmarted by the bank, because what they bought WASN'T the house. If they'd read the fine print, they only bought the second mortgage, which, of course, in a foreclosure situation, is worthless. They're out almost a hundred grand. What's that about something being too good to be true? (San Francisco Chronicle)
