This Doesn't Explain Why They're Making 'Moneyball' Into A Movie
-
There isn't going to be a sequel to "Anchorman: The Legend of Ron Burgundy." If it was such a huge hit -- and it was -- why not a sequel? Simple: too American. Yes, Hollywood now avoids movies it doesn't think will go over well overseas. That includes American-style comedy. And they're injecting foreign actors into movies and downplaying the U.S. angle (even in movies like "G.I. Joe") to try and sell them in countries that aren't all that keen on the good ol' U.S. of A. That's how important foreign box office is nowadays. (Wall Street Journal; Thanks to Ben Maller at Fox Sports Radio for the link)
