So What's The Alternative? Nothing's Secure Anymore

You use a bank website or you buy something on a "secure" page, and you're comforted by the little closed lock icon that tells you that the site's encrypted for security. All's well, right? Except that security experts warn that there are now so many of the third-party certificate issuers that handle those "https" sites that perhaps that page with the little lock isn't so secure after all. Does that concern you? Will it make you think twice about using a secure page to make a financial transaction, or is that an overreaction? (New York Times)
