Losing Builds Character. I've Got Plenty Of Character
-
This article looks at how we've arrived at an age where little kids aren't allowed to lose. Schools don't keep score in games for fear of injuring a child's self-esteem, as if not keeping score will hide a kid's poor performance. But we've been over this before, and I think most people agree, giving everyone a trophy or medal or ribbon instead of celebrating victory is no way to prepare kids for the real world. (Boston Globe)
